A graduate of Queen's University with an Honours Degree in (Historical) Geography,
and a lifelong interest in human migratory patterns and experiences,
I have more than 24 years experience successfully searching through a
highly varied range of record types from many
local, Provincial and Canadian National jurisdictions.
In the course of my work I've also developed a familiarity with records from the
United States, England, Scotland, Ireland,
some of the German states, and the Channel Islands.
I've demonstrated an ability to
track Immigrant ancestors to homeland locations
when surviving records permit.
I'm a member, in good standing, of the Ontario Genealogical Society,
including the eastern Ontario branches,
as well as other eastern Ontario Genealogical Societies.
In 1998 I served as the Vice-Chair of the Kingston Branch, OGS,
(when our 25th Anniversary was celebrated!),
and as Chairman in 1999.
Between 1997 and 2000 I designed, installed,and maintained
the initial Kingstson & District Branch, OGS, Web pages,
which continue to be of benefit to the Branch.
I've been a member of the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada, since 1997.
I served as Branch Genealogist for the Kingston & Branch, on invitation, from late 1997 until late 2002
I participate, as well, as a member of the Ontario Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
I've been actively engaged in genealogical research since 1984.
